Easy to use and configure
This is my 3rd one plus phone and I am very satisfied with the overall performance and design of the phone. The cameras are a big step forward compare to previous models. This phone is one of the best price for value in the market.

Great device
I got the 12 as an upgrade. My previous device was the 10pro 5G, and it feels refreshing that the device is quick and responsive, it feels that the new hardware is has a better optimized software from OnePlus, and the batter lasts longer. I am also really glad the feature of automatically stopping to charge the device at 80% was available as soon as I got the device, that will allow me to keep the phone longer since it will increase the lifespan of the device by not keeping it at 100% SoC.
Overall, really happy to be a loyal customer of OnePlus, and it was worth accepting some minor shortcomings that were with the 7Pro and 10Pro, the 12 seems to actually have been ready with all the advertised features available in Canada from the get go. For example 5G was not supported by all the mobile service providers for the 10Pro, and I had to use a third party app to activate 5G on it, it seems that 12 has that already certified. 🙂

Great phone but too big for me. OP13 + OP13 mini?
I've had Oneplus phones exclusively for a long time (3, 3T, 6, 7T and now 12) and I've been loving my Oneplus 12 for the last month. It's a true powerhouse that checks all the boxes of a great smartphones including design, UI/OS and Camera but, to me, falls short in the practical user experience due to it's size.
Please stop the bigger-phone-each-year trend, it's getting out of hand (literraly)!
- Oneplus 3/3t : 5.5" / 158 g
- Oneplus 6: 6.28" / 177 g
- Oneplus 7t : 6.55" / 190 g (sweet spot for me)
- Oneplus 12: 6.82" / 220 g
The battery is so good I feel it's too good and we could have have a 5000mh instead of 5400mh and cut a bit of thickness and weight as well.
I chose the option to charge to max 80%, use my phone plenty during the day and still have 30% left at the end of the day.
Like many others, I appreciate the new strategy of Oneplus with one flagship release a year + R/Nord/Ace models but I feel Oneplus is now mature enough to offer a true smaller flagship phone alongside the bigger brother like Samsung / Apple.
The product map is already laid out by the competition: keep the core specs (cameras, OS, etc...) but cut on screen size/resolution and battery capacity and maybe even wirless charging.
I get that it involves extra RnD but if the competition is doing it it means there is a demand for it.
For me I almost returned my OP12 to get a Galaxy S24 as it was just better in the hand and pocket. I never thought I'd say this but the camera of my OP12 destroying the S24 is the only reason I kept it so you can thank the Camera team I guess :)
Don't get me wrong, I love my OP12 but it's overkillness steps a bit too much into the user experience at that size/weight for me and others I'm sure.
One more thing: please bring back flat displays please :)

A nice upgrade
I've been using a OnePlus 9 pro for a few months before upgrading to the 12
In day to day use it's been great so far. The increase in battery size has been the most noticeable upgrade from the 9 pro. A lot of annoying small bugs seem to have been fixed too on this newer phone, like the vibration motors not keeping up with my typing. Android 14 appears to be very polished compared to the 12 and 13 releases on OnePlus phones. So far I haven't encounter any bugs or issues.
Specs wiss, this phone is a beast, which is the main reason I pulled the trigger on it. I've been messing around with Switch, GameCube & Wii emulation the past few days and it's looking very very promising.
The camera's haven't blown me away so far, they appear to be a small increase from the quality of pictures I could get out of my 9 pro. One small area of annoyance is the way Macro mode works on the 12. It used to be very intuitive and automatic when it would switch lenses on the 9 pro, with a pop up message indicating the change. Now I think it's a little flower icon on the bottom left when it enters macro mode but I'm not sure as I haven't been able to find anything in the settings about it and a quick google search at work didn't give me any answers.
Overall, great phone so far, I have no regrets buying it and would recommend it to anyone who wants Snapdragon 8 gen 3 power without paying crazy money for a high end gaming phone or a S24. It does everything well and is a very polished and well rounded release from OnePlus.

Wonderful!
Solid cameras, fast charging, smooth system work. As an old OnePlus fan started with the OnePlus 2 => OnePlus 3t => OnePlus 6 => OnePlus 7t pro (and OnePlus 8t which I got for my mom), and now – OnePlus 12. I really appreciate the work company did to keep almost all very first OnePlus phone's pros eliminating most of cons. It's so wonderful journey to follow company's growth and use it's results 🥰
The only difficult for me was to connect all my previous OnePlus devices to the Red Cable Club which I didn't handle to register 😔 coz of my past travels travels as well as some of this phones was purchased in my native Ukrainian where it's not sold officially. And now I'm at Canada as an Ukrainian refugee. So all phones was purchased at different places which I believe impacted it's registration at Red Cable Club.
But getting back to my new OnePlus 12. It's almost perfect and I really love using it. The only complaints for me are volume regulations (previously at my OnePlus 7t pro when regulating volume I was able to switch sound source from Bluetooth to phone speakers and back, but at OnePlus 12 I cant do this 😔), no phone case in box anymore (not a big deal, but a bit disappointing when I got used to have in in box) and also I really miss pop-up canera (which was the only reason why I've been with my old OnePlus 7t pro for so long, hoping that I'll see new OnePlus phone with such amazing tech)

Flagship Killer for sure.
I was looking to replace my 6 year old phone. I didn't want to get one of the traditional 3 (Google / Apple / Samsung). I found the OnePlus 11 online while looking for an alternative device. I was on the fence because of the lack of wireless charging. I also didn't know anyone who had a OnePlus phone and would have to take a leap of faith. When the 12 was announced and as I read up on it. I knew I was committed and I would hold out for that phone. Waited patiently for the Pre Sale and bought it right away. I was not disappointed and had it for nearly a week so far.
Camera:
I am a Fire Chief and take photos for evidence. My old phone constantly would require me to take multiple photos to get a clear one on my old phone. With the 12, the first shot is a clear shot.
Battery:
I forgot to charge it last night and am at 40% after 32 hours of use since last charge. It will probably make it to the end of the day easily..
UI:
Very smooth and has lots of fun little features for a more polished look and feel. I am constantly telling my wife, "Look what my phone does." It is very responsive and has no lag with it.
Results:
I am extremely pleased with what I have received and show it off to anyone who will listen.
